This photo of a set of bells provides a satisfying sense of orderliness, but on closer inspection it reveals a bit of disorder after all: the bells are weathering inconsistently, and one clapper is missing. I think of it as a picture of the conjunction of order and imperfection.
About Pat Miller
Pat Miller is drawn to color, form, and character in an effort to capture moments that possess a particular beauty or humor. She especially likes to photograph creatures (birds, mammals, insects), reflections, abstracts, and waterscapes. Her photos range from abstraction to hyper-realism as she works to balance complexity and simplicity. Originally an academic trained in literature, Pat Miller became an artist in her middle years.
