I love old buildings and walls. I was attracted to this one because it shows the considerable effort taken to save a structure in distress--and because the oozing mortar looks like melted frosting.

Pat Miller

Pat Miller is drawn to color, form, and character in an effort to capture moments that possess a particular beauty or humor. She especially likes to photograph creatures (birds, mammals, insects), reflections, abstracts, and waterscapes. Her photos range from abstraction to hyper-realism as she works to balance complexity and simplicity. Originally an academic trained in literature, Pat Miller became an artist in her middle years. After growing up in Canton, OH, she transplanted herself to New England in 1971, where she has lived ever since, residing now in Willimantic, CT, and Charlestown, RI.
